Research method

Hotel Verification Methodology

A hotel belongs in a room-level guide only when the available evidence can be connected to the accommodation a traveler selects.

Room-level evidence

The strongest evidence is current wording from an official hotel or brand page, supported where useful by a current booking inventory page that names the same room category.

Tub classification

We record whether the available wording describes a jetted tub, whirlpool, spa bath, private indoor hot tub, private outdoor hot tub or shared facility. These terms are not treated as interchangeable.

Verification date and limitations

A verification record should include its source and review date. Even verified information can change, so travelers must reconfirm the selected room at checkout.

Our research & review process

TubGetaways works with independent freelance researchers, writers and editors who review available hotel, room and booking information before a property is included. We compare amenity descriptions, room categories and property details to make each guide as useful as the available evidence allows.

Every contributor follows the same checklist covering room wording, tub location, privacy and the distinction between room-level and shared hotel amenities. Learn more about our team and how we work.

Our checks are best-effort desk research, not a personal-stay claim or booking guarantee. Hotel amenities, room names, prices and availability can change, so confirm the exact room details with the hotel or booking provider before paying.
